On the week of the 11th March, our Everyball team went out on the road -- visiting four local schools in Halton, Weston Turville, Wendover, and Aston Clinton.

Each child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 at these schools enjoyed a 30-minute tennis session, expertly planned by our very own Jemima King. At the end of the session, each child was presented with a certificate and a special invitation to attend our Everyball Open Days, which took place on 16th and 17th March.

We were lucky to meet an amazing 689 children in the schools -- and we were delighted to welcome 150 children and their families registered to attend one of the Open Day sessions over the weekend. It was great, too, to see some siblings coming along, too!

The children worked their way around 6 stations of different activities and challenges throughout the session. Every single one had a racket in their hand and experienced the thrill of hitting the ball with the coaches.

Since then, a number of children have joined our program for the last 3 weeks of this term, and others have registered for our upcoming Easter Camps.

In the Summer Term, our Tennis For Kids promotion starts and many of those who attended our Open Days have already signed up. The 6-week programme forms part of the national initiative set up by the Lawn Tennis Association to celebrate our 2015 Davis-Cup-winning team, and has now inspired over 61,000 children to pick up a racket for the first time, with more than 25,000 getting involved this year alone.

Our hope is that we have added to the inspiration following the weekend and we are already seeing terrific signs of this through the program and the response we've received.

One happy parent wrote to let us know what a great time their children had at our Open Days: "I’d like to say thank you very much for the great session you and your team did on Sunday. Excellently organised and coordinated."

James Morgan was delighted to see so many children and families here at Halton: "It was a real team effort with everyone playing their part to make the weekend happen. A special mention to the hard-working team who delivered with such passion and enthusiasm, session after session, and to Jemima for all of her brilliant planning. And to the parents: a big thank you for bringing your terrific children to see us. We simply could not be happier with the amount of interest that we had from all of you!"
